We've built over 200 homes with a pipeline far in excess of this. We are also a manufacturer; operating in a 125,000 sq ft factory in Derbyshire and have well advanced plans to build another one 5 times bigger. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial/Deployment team here at TopHat on a full time, permanent basis.

Job description:

• Sole responsibility for a project or a number of smaller projects commercially from bid through to final account
• Liaising directly with the factory procurement team
• All Quantity Surveying duties including measurement, valuation and agreement of work packages
• Preparation of tender enquiries for subcontract works packages and analysis of tender returns followed by package recommendation report
• Preparation of interim applications for payment and internal valuations
• Interim administration and settlement of subcontractors' accounts
• Develop and maintain relationships with supply chain partners
• Negotiate with clients and other consultants
• Advise project team on contractual implications of intended courses of action
• Preparation of monthly contract review reports, CVRs and Cashflows
• Keep your manager and the wider team fully advised of any issue / risk which has arisen or might arise, and which could affect the business / project

• NVQ / HND in relevant construction discipline
• Appropriate CSCS card
• Relevant H&S training
• Experience in working with Framework Agreements

• Able to communicate effectively within a team and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business
• Extensive experience in managing all aspects of the commercial function
