Maintenance Engineer - Electrical

We are looking for an Experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team based in Foston, Derby. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our production facility and its equipment are running to the required standard by minimizing downtime while driving quality and operational standards.

  • PPM Maintenance, service and repair of all plant machinery to minimise production downtime
  • Manage reactive breakdowns and Planned Preventative Maintenance improvements
  • Provide technical support on all projects, installations, and breakdowns including modifications
  • Identifying and fault find on both electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Deliver on all targets relating to safety, quality and environmental policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain and keep up to date documentation relating to the maintenance of each machine

Hours of work (alternating Weekly)

  • 36.25 hours a week
  • Week 1 – 6:00-14:00 Monday to Friday
  • Week 2 – 14:30-23:00 Monday to Thursday, Friday 14:30-20:00
  • Lots of potential for overtime due to growth of the business

Experience and qualifications we are looking for

  • Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship program and hold an electrical qualification to level 3 as a minimum.
  • Hold 18th Edition.
  • Experience of working with industrial electrical supplies.
  • Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering diagrams and schematics.
  • Experience with electrical controls, PLCs.
  • Ideally you will be apprenticeship trained with experience in an industrial environment
