We've built over 200 homes with a pipeline far in excess of this. We are also a manufacturer; operating in a 125,000 sq ft factory in Derbyshire and have well advanced plans to build another one 5 times bigger. 

Here at TopHat, we have an exciting opportunity for a Group Tax Manager to oversee our tax function on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting into our Group CFO, the role will include:

• Managing the Group tax compliance process

• Implementing and monitoring internal controls for tax compliance and reporting

• Optimising Group tax efficiency

• Leading tax planning processes

• Preparing periodic consolidated tax reporting and forecast packs

• Ensuring audit clearance for statutory reporting

• Advising management on tax matters

Do you fit the bill? 

• 5 - 6 years relevant experience.

• Professional training and experience should have been broad based to include indirect tax.

• Confident communicator to board and colleagues

• Able to explain tax matters in terms understandable by non-finance colleagues.

• Able to manage tax consultants and professionals effectively

• Strong spreadsheet and modelling skills.

• Able to work at operational, tactical, and planning levels.

• Good influencing skills to ensure colleagues prioritise tax compliance
