EWM / MM Business Analyst

We've built over 200 homes with a pipeline far in excess of this. We are also a manufacturer; operating in a 125,000 sq ft factory in Derbyshire and have well advanced plans to build another one 5 times bigger. 

 

Working within a friendly and busy IT team, as a SAP EWM/MM Analyst you will be responsible for analysing requirements, designing pragmatic solutions, liaising with the wider SAP team through the build process, and delivering a fit-for-purpose solution to the business. This is a great opportunity for you to play a proactive role in incident and problem management within a knowledgeable SAP team.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysing business requirements, making recommendations for change, and designing effective solutions.

  • Creating functional specifications that enable developers to program the required solution.

  • Testing new solutions and system changes to ensure that the change meets the specified requirements.

  • Providing business systems training to ensure that the user community understands system processes and can execute them effectively.

  • Produce appropriate system documentation for current and new systems processes, ensuring that documentation is up to date and clear.

  • Learn additional SAP knowledge to become an integral member of the team.

  • Work with Business analysts to understand business requirements and to support the delivery of those requirements.

  • Pro activity assist with ticket resolution with ITSM framework.

  • Work with functional team members to understand business requirements and build quality technical solutions.

  • Report into the International ABAP development lead

  • Provide technical guidance to the team to ensure performance counters have been installed on the servers and on the health check report generation.

  • Review the health check report and identify the discrepancies (utilisation)

  • Analyse the system logs and application usage, if required

  • In case of any discrepancy, perform root cause analysis and resolve the discrepancy.

  • Provide technical guidance to the team to identify the specific parameters (disk usage, performance metrics ) to be monitored based on the client requirement

  • Validate the identified parameters and seek signoff from the customer on the same.

  • Identify the threshold/ benchmark values for those parameters.

  • In collaboration with the client, finalize the threshold and map these requirements to the specific metrics.

  • Provide support as a project team member as needed.

  • Contribute to preparation and review of test procedures and reports.

  • Contribute to the development of a strategic customer roadmap.

  • Establish and document processes to support all areas of responsibility.

  • Develop use case scenarios for user acceptance testing process.

  • Manage multiple priorities and projects in fast paced and dynamic environment.

  • Develop and author test strategy, test plans, and test cases.

  • Create ad-hoc reports, data queries, standard reports, and dashboards to support business needs.

  • Integrate research, team ideas, and client feedback into solution requirements.

  • Maintain high quality project and software design documentation and analysis.

  • Maintain a log of completed and ongoing system changes.

  • Identify various possible business scenarios and document it.

 

 

Do you fit the bill? 

  • SAP MM/EWM experience.

  • A good, all-round knowledge of IT

  • deep knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes

  • An excellent communicator, who is self-motivated and exhibits a proactive approach to work.

  • Focused and organised approach to work and can meet deadlines on complex projects.

  • Problem-solving skills and the aptitude to learn new processes.

  • Proficient in MS office applications

  • Good understanding of internal warehouse processes

  • Previous SAP support experience

  • Super User / training and knowledge transfer

  • Good experience of EWM / MM testing

  • Knowledge of PP and QM modules

  • Produce BRD specifications and documentation.

  • EWM / SAP integration experience
